There are approximately 88 days left in 2019, and there are still so many things that I want to do before the year is up. We spend to much time working a job or just surviving day to day rather than enjoying life. With all the events that have happened in my life in the last year, I decided to make a list of five things that I want to do before the year is up. I want to enjoy the rest of 2019.

#1 Hoʻomaluhia Botanical Garden

I’ve had this Botanical Garden has been on my bucket list for YEARS. I’ve seen it on countless Instagram accounts and always been so jealous of how pretty people’s pictures have turned out and how beautiful the view is. There are these gorgeous green mountains that people take pictures in front of while standing on a road I don’t have any pictures there (hence me never being there) so feel free to Google it!

#2 THE DOCK

There is this dock that everyone goes to take these beautiful aesthetic pictures, and for my life, I can’t figure it out where it is. ( I know kind of sad, right? I live here and don’t know where the secret spots are). Although I am pretty sure it MIGHT be on private property, I am determined to figure out where it is.

#3 Tantalus Lookout

I have been here over a dozen times; it is one of my favorite places in Honolulu. I haven’t been there in maybe two years at this point, mainly because I haven’t had the time. The best time to go is during the day for safety reasons. But my favorite time is to go after or while the sun is setting. I love looking at the little lights across the island because it reminds me that my problems aren’t as big as they seem. Some of my favorite memories have been made on this mountain with amazing friends.

#4 Sandy Beach (or any really)

I used to sneak out of my house at night and go to a nearby beach. I used to go and play music from my speakers and enjoy the night sky and the sound of the ocean. It was and still is my happy place. I used to sit for hours with friends on the beach just talking about the good and the bad things happening and just life in general. I also really enjoy the sound of the ocean at night.

#5 Pull An All-Nighter

I want to watch the sunset and stay up until the sunrises the next day. It has been a stressful year, and I remember in the past, my favorite memories were made in the long nights out with friends. If I have to be real, I can’t remember the last time I went out with people and had a genuinely good time. Pulling an all-nighter is a must for me before the year is up.
