As you all may know (especially if you follow me on Instagram), I spend a reasonable amount of time in coffee shops working on my website. Whether it’s writing, watching videos, or editing pictures, I probably spend about 25 hours a week in a coffee shop. I decided to share with you all a few of my favorite spots I love going to, to do work.

#1 The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf

Location: Manoa Marketplace

Favorite Drinks: Lychee Iced Tea, Cookies & Cream (Ice Blended), & Caramel Coconut Latte (with coconut milk)

It’s within walking distance from where I live and the staff there has always been very friendly. Recently, I have been enjoying CBTL more than Starbucks, mainly because of the customer service and atmosphere in the stores. The environment is more laid back, and I feel the staff is more personable.

The plus for this area is there are a few places to eat close by if you don’t feel like eating coffee shop food.

#2 The Coffee Bean And Tea Leaf

Location: South Shore Market

This Coffee Bean is a short bus ride away from where I live, but the reasons are the same as to why I like this location. There are only a few seats in the actual store, but there is a community table outside the store and more tables around the corner.

There’s a Holo Holo market right next door to this coffee shop, so it’s easy to find grab and go things to eat if you do not feel like eating the food the coffee shop has.

#3 Starbucks

Location: Ala Moana Hotel

Favorite Drink: Iced Caramel Macchiato (add extra shot with breve)

This Starbucks used to be my go-to place to study because it would never get as busy as every other Starbucks usually does. I don’t go much to this Starbucks during the summer because it gets so hot outside, and there are no walls, just big glass windows, that the inside of the coffee shop gets hot too. It’s also a little bit more pricey at this location; hence, it is at a hotel.

Ala Moana shopping center is right next door, so if you’re looking for food other than what Starbucks has to offer, it’s a perfect spot for you.
